April Favourites Post
Good morning Beginners and a big welcome back to my blog.
So I went off the radar for a few weeks, sorry about that. Basically, I started a new job and has a few difficult days battling with my mental health after having received some bad news. But I am back now and feeling much better.
So as you may be able to see this blog post is my first monthly favourites post. I am hoping to make this a series and I will be trying to post this on the first day of every month. If you know me or have followed my blog for a while, you know I'm a bit of a nightmare for time keeping and staying on schedule so this may be a task for me.
Without any further rambling, lets get into this.
1 - James Charles x Morphe Palette

Without any further rambling, lets get into this.
1 - James Charles x Morphe Palette
Now I'm not going to lie to you, I can;t foresee a future where this palette doesn't feature in a list of my favourite products. This palette is insane, I use it for so many parts of my makeup routine almost daily and I am literally obsessed with the shade range and quality of this palette. To see a more detailed review of why I love this product please click here to read my blog post on it.
2 - Tarteist Glossy Lip Paint
This is such a recent purchase and I have been loving it. I am not usually a lip gloss person at all, but I have been really liking the look of a subtle gloss and I wanted to try one out. I decided on the recommendation from a friend to try this Tarte one. I got the shade Serenity, it's a beautiful peachy nude colour. Because I am so pale, it comes out a little more pink than I think it's supposed to but I still really like the colour. The gloss isn't sticky which is great because one of the reasons I never do gloss is that I hate that feeling when you're trying to talk and your lips stick together. The product does have a really strong minty smell, I don't mind it too much and the smell does go away after a few minutes of applying. I think I'm going to venture into lipgloss a bit more so if you have any recommendations please feel free to leave them in the comment section down below.
3 - Revolution Pro Foundation Drops
I actually mentioned this foundation in my last blog post about my daily makeup products, I mentioned in that post that I have been trying to create a more dewy, natural looking base lately where as I used to prefer a totally matte look. This product has definitely made it's way into my favourites lately and I've been using it every day. I use shade F3 which is for fair skin with a pink undertone which I am told is my undertone (I don't know how to tell myself so I rely on this advice). This product lasts all day and doesn't get oily or oxidise so that makes it great for long shifts at work.
4 - Benefit Pearl Porefessional Primer
I have been such an advocate for the 'primer doesn't do anything' movement. Well, I've recently been made to eat my words, a friend gave me a sample size of this primer to try after I mentioned that I don't use one. This primer is designed to blur pores and brighten dull skin and I have been finding that it really makes my skin looks so much better and I even think my foundation is sticking to my skin a lot more now. I am thinking of doing a post showing half my makeup using this and the other half not. As soon as I realised how much I was loving this product I went and got myself one to use and it has become a daily product for me. I have really dull, dry skin so this really brightens and improves my skin, I find that it blurs really well also. I have found it makes a tacky base as well which is great for applying foundation over the top.
5 - Game of Thrones Season 8
No spoilers will be mentioned, I wanted to include a non makeup related favourite for this month and by far my favourite non makeup related thing that has happened this month is the return of my favourite show for it's final season. We re obviously only 3 episodes in but so far I have laughed, cried, screamed and over all had a roller-coaster of emotions so far this season. If you don't watch it I can't recommend it enough.
That's all for this post. Please let me know if you enjoyed this post by leaving a comment down below. I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it.
